He will soon discover that electronic devices made in this day and age are allowed to serve more than a single function and are far more versatile than the Atari 2600. In the meantime, somebody should let him know that the World is round and not flat. ;-)
In this day and age you cannot rely on true exclusivity. Unless it's MGS4 related. ;-)
This does have to sting for MS. Considering the buggy mess that each of the DLC packs were upon release (I know they work now) I hope that Bethesda learned and releases the DLC for the PS3 bug free... Of course, this is Bethesda... Probably not going to happen but heck, the PS3 owners at least get the new content and that in itself is pretty cool.
But more revenue was brought in off of the PS3 versions. ;-)
There's fans on both sides of the fence. Only thing is, Sony has about 100 million more of them...
Install bases for the PS platform is well over 150 million while the MS fanbase in gaming is about 30 million. If you have more fans, you have more voices.
If you have more fans then you are going to have more fanboys. It's just simple facts. It doesn't mean they are more vocal, it just means there are more of them.
Because these are not all their guns? Maybe they have more to show? Just sayin'...
Yes. Simply put, it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. More RAM no matter what application is better than too little.
Even Gametrailers has had footage of this game up for months now. GDC was a great showing of this game. Ignorance is your enemy. Even a search on Google will bring up some goodies on this title.
Sales do not make great games. If the game is a winner, it is deemed a winner only on the basis of it making me happy as a gamer to play it. If you or millions of others do not buy it, it makes no difference to me. Sales figures are for fanboys, gaming is for gamers.
Why is this game so hyped? Did you miss the game play videos they had months ago? Did you miss out ont he screen shots they released a few months ago? Have you never heard of the developer and their previous work? If you answer yes to any of these then be proud to claim ignorance but if not, then you are being silly and need to quit.
This is not a topic about the Xbox, this is a PS3 thread. So to that I say:
Sony will indeed make us gamers happy with some great showings and hopefully there will be some cool new titles shown to make us giddy with glee.
Nuf said.
Sony did not offer the price drop. Amazon did. Gotta love it. :-/
If you like games that lull in mid game so that you can look at the pretty sun set then that is up to you. As for me, I like constant action that keeps me on my toes. Scenery is nice for RPG's, not my FPS's.
'Cause I don't love Halo and it is quite possible that the author of the blog does not as well. His thoughts on the blog being bull@%*! are right on though.
It all comes down to game play. You can have the best looking foliage but if the game sucks then you get a crappy game. As long as the developer does not sacrifice game play for graphics then I am happy but in so many cases, this has happened. And yeah, COD4 is more my cup of tea than Wars.
What game on the Xbox 360 do we see so many articles about claiming that there is a rumored port to the PS3? None you say? Why is that?
'Cause when I am running around, tossing grenades and popping baddies with my M4, there's nothing like taking a break to watch the sun set...
:-/
Not trying to be rude but in the truth of it all, great graphics make for some pretty screen shots but if the game play lacks, the game is pure junk. And in the case of FPS's, playing the game as it should be played, you should never have enough time to enjoy the scenery.
It doesn't surprise me though. they are head of the Xbox Defense Force in their wishes. Somebody needs to tell them that if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.
I know I don't. I keep my PC in my office and my PS3 streams everything else to my big screen in the living area.
